Woman Arrested for Hitting Pedestrian & DWI with Daughter in the Car

FAYETTEVILLE, AR -- A woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated and hitting a pedestrian, with her 11-year-old daughter in the car.

FAYETTEVILLE, AR -- A woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated and hitting a pedestrian, with her 11-year-old daughter in the car.

Police said an intoxicated man walked into the road at the intersection of Wedington Drive and Tahoe, just after midnight Sunday morning. That is when investigators said Yvonne Fortner struck him. The man was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver, 55-year-old Fortner, is now facing charges of DWI and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
