Worldwide Company Wants to Hire More Veterans

AT&T has announced that it is doubling its hiring goal for veterans and their family members. Details on how you can match your military skills with a job.

AT&T Inc. has announced that it is doubling its hiring goal for veterans and their family members over the next five years to 10,000. In April, AT&T announced a five-year veteran hiring goal of 5,000. The company made this commitment at a White House event with Michelle Obama, Jill Biden and other companies supporting the Joining Forces Initiative.

Veterans' skills are proving to be a good fit for the company's needs. More than 3,600 Vets have started new careers at AT&T so far this year. About 55% of the veterans hired by AT&T this year made their transition to the private sector as technicians.

Veterans are encouraged to visit AT&T's veteran career site to find tools for vets to match their military skills with AT&T jobs.
