According to a news release, deputies responded to a reported shooting on the 12000 block of S. Whitehouse Road Wednesday evening around 9:30 p.m. The caller said her son, Sam Hill, 26, had just shot her husband in the chest. Allen Hill was transported by air lifted to Washington Regional Medical Center, where he died. Corporal Reed was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center by Central EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
Later that evening, Fayetteville Police Department received a report of a domestic disturbance involving the suspect Sam Hill. The victim in that incident gave Fayetteville Police officers the suspect’s residence location on Morningside Drive in Fayetteville. When officers arrived, they located Sam Hill at his home with a gunshot wound to his hip. Sam Hill was taken into custody and transported by Central EMS to Washington Regional Medical Center.
