ROGERS, AR -- The rain didn't keep folks from heading to Beaver Lake for the 16th Annual Fun Day.

Sources for Community Independent Living Services hosted the event.

The day included boating, live music, and free food for people with disabilities.

Medical Reserve Corp. was also there to provide emergency info and backpacks.

Sources for Community Independent Living Services Executive Director Jim Mather said it's a special day to come out and enjoy the lake.

"It's exciting to see people realize what they can do, that I can get on a boat, I can go boating," Mather said. "I can enjoy Beaver Lake just like everybody else."

Mather said the event gets bigger each year but hopes that one day, they won't have to have an event and it will just be normal for everyone to enjoy Beaver Lake regardless of disabilities.
