The nonprofit provides the snack packs to kids in need across Northwest Arkansas. Each pack contains eight food items, and it takes 400 volunteers each month to make it happen.
"It shows what the community coming together can accomplish when they put their minds to it," says Bonnie Faitak, Samaritan Kids coordinator. "The impact that one bag makes on one child is significant."
Today's one millionth snack pack went to a family who goes to R.E. Baker Elementary, where a single father is raising five kids on his own.
