The Pulse: Crystal to Pay Tribute to Williams & Attorney General in Ferguson

This year's Emmy awards will feature a tribute to Robin Williams led by Billy Crystal. Williams and Crystal were good friends and co-starred in the movie "Father's Day." The tribute will take place during the "in memoriam" portion of the show. The 66th Annual prime-time Emmy awards airs this Monday night.

Mo'ne Davis, the 13-year-old pitching phenom, is drawing crowds and viewers tonight at the Little League World Series with her team Philadelphia's Taney Dragons. She's the first girl to throw a shutout in the Little League World Series and the sixth to get a hit in world series history. This 5-foot-4 inch eighth-grader throws a 70-mph fastball.

A stand-off that lasted nearly 20-hours in a Chicago suburb, is finally over. This morning, law officers in Harvey were able to get into the home and free the two adults and two children who were being held hostage. The suspects are in custody. This all started Tuesday when two men, suspected of breaking into a home, fled from police after an exchange of gunfire. Police say the men then ran into a nearby home. Officers say the stand-off ended with no shots being fired. While no one was hurt, the hostages were shaken up.

US Intelligence officials say a video released by Islamic militants showing American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff is authentic. According to a National Security Council spokeswoman, authorities analyzed it and determined it was real. In the video, posted online Tuesday, militants appear to behead Foley and then threaten Sotloff with a similar fate if President Barack Obama does not end military operations in Iraq. Foley, a 40-year-old freelance journalist, died at the hands of the Islamic extremist group known as ISIS. He had been in captivity since late 2012.
