This time last year, journalists from around the world were camped outside Saint Mary's hospital in London waiting for the prince's birth. William and Kate will celebrate George's first birthday with family and friends at Kensington Palace and are expected to have a party. George is third in line to the British throne.

The search giant has developed a new kind of image format that promises to shrink the size of web photos and graphic files down by about 35 percent, which should boost load times for websites. Facebook, Netflix, EBay and several other websites have begun supporting the new format. So if your pages load a bit faster in the near future, you might have Google to thank.
A Michigan sheriff says orange is no longer the new black in his jail because he thinks the Netflix prison drama "Orange is the New Black" glorifies life behind bars. The sheriff is swapping the orange jail jumpsuits for black and white stripes, saying he doesn't want the T.V. show to "bleed over into real life." He also says the new jumpsuits will make it easier to spot when prisoners out on work detail.
It's been four days since Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 crashed over eastern Ukraine, and pro-Russia rebels are finally beginning to hand over key items from the crash to investigators. Refrigerated rail cars, packed with bodies from the crash, were taken away Monday. 282 victims have been discovered so far, and a team of dutch forensic experts will have to identify each individual. No one knows when the bodies will be returned to the families.
The White House says President Obama will meet with leaders from three central american countries this week to discuss the ongoing immigration crisis. Obama will hold talks with the presidents of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. About 60,000 mostly unaccompanied children from Central America have crossed the U.S. border since the beginning of the year, and the administration has been grappling with how to deal with the influx.
