LITTLE ROCK, AR--The World's Largest Retailer is hoping to make a difference by changing children's lives in the Natural State. And you can help join the effort.

From May 1 through June 11, Walmart customers and Sam's Club members can make a donation of $1 or more to Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH), the regional Children's Miracle Network Hospital. It's as simple as adding a 'Miracle Balloon' donation during checkout.

Customers and members can quickly add a "Miracle Balloon" donation during checkout, with 100 percent of funds flowing directly to ACH. Donations provided each year - with most given $1 at a time - have had a significant impact on improving children's health in Arkansas.

"Each and every gift made to Arkansas Children's Hospital makes a difference, whether it's $1, $5 or $10," said Jennifer Selig, director of development for ACH.

"We are incredibly grateful to Walmart and Sam's Club associates and customers for making kids a priority. Every cent donated at a Walmart or Sam's Club location stays right here in Arkansas and helps the hospital create possibility for children."

All funds raised during the Walmart and Sam's Club campaign will be celebrated as part of a larger fundraising effort. Arkansas Children's Hospital is currently in the midst of the Century of Possibility Campaign, which will raise $160 million in support of pediatric care, research, education and prevention programs at the hospital. The campaign has already raised $149 million and will conclude in December 2014.
