A possibly world-record breaking sized key lime pie was served to Independence Day revelers as the centerpiece of Key West's new Key Lime Festival. The pie had a diameter of about eight feet and was made in a pan about the size of a pickup truck. Ingredients include the juice of nearly 6,000 yellow key limes, 200 pounds of graham crackers and 55 gallons of sweetened condensed milk.
A truck carrying dish detergent crashes in Virginia, leaving a small creek a sudsy mess. Authorities say the driver lost control of his rig on the wet roadway and plunged into a creek, sending 14,000 bottles of lemon-scented dish soap leaking into the water. Officials are concerned about how the chemicals will affect the creek and everything living in it so they're monitoring the situation.
This puppy trapped under the hood of a car in Dania Beach, Florida traveled several miles stuck inside. Thankfully, the couple driving the car heard whimpering. Rescue workers with the Broward Sheriff's Office freed the pup. The pooch seemed okay, and was taken to a local animal hospital.
