Kanye west and Kim Kardashian are engaged. The rap star popping the question last night on Kim's birthday. The proposal took place in front of friends and family at a rented out AT&T park in San Francisco. Their daughter, named North, is now four months old.
Apple unveils its new i-Pad Tuesday. The thinner, lighter tablet called is the i-Pad air. The device weighs a pound, and Apple claims it's eight times faster than the original i-Pad. The i-Pad air will go on sale November first and start at four hundred ninety nine dollars for a model with sixteen gigabytes of memory.
Facebook, announcing a controversial decision to lift a ban on violent videos. A temporary ban on graphic content was imposed in may following complaints about videos which depicted people being decapitated. Now the company has relaxed its stance. It will allow violent content such as beheadings to be published, provided the intent is to raise awareness rather than celebrate violence. Facebook still prohibits nudity, drug use and pornography.
For the first time ever, Americans seem to be in favor of legalizing marijuana. A recent Gallup poll shows 58-percent favor legalization, 10 percentage points more than last November. 39-percent are still opposed.
We're learning more about the Nevada boy police say killed a middle school teacher then took his own life. Police say the 12-year-old brought a 9-millimeter semi-automatic handgun from home to school, and opened fire. A teacher, Michael Lansberry, tried to get the boy to put the gun down. Instead, he opened fire, killing Lansberry, then turned the weapon on himself. Two other students were wounded in the incident... They're in stable condition.
