Arkansas Looks To Snap 5-Game Losing Streak To Ole Miss

The Hog basketball team cleared a couple of huge hurdles last week to get back into the NCAA tournment picture but now is no time to stumble with Ole Miss coming to town on Wednesday. If Arkansas' players needed any motivation, they've got it.

"I've never beaten Ole Miss so I'm definitely aware of that." says Kikko Haydar

In fact Arkansas has lost five straight to Ole Miss and hasn't beaten the Rebels in Bud Walton since  2008.

"The only one I remember is two years ago. They stole one.  They actually stole one. It's a game where we lead and I thought we just had a melt down where we just kind of handed the ball to them." says Mike Anderson

But this has been a season of breaking away from past frustrations. Mike Anderson's guys say they respect Ole Miss but...

"We're a new team. We don't really look back at the past We just know--try to handle the things that we can control ao we're going to come out here and conttinute to play the basketball we're playing." says Fred Gulley III

This season the Rebels appear to be going in the opposite direction of the Hogs. They've lost five of their last six and are 2-5 in SEC road games. Will they ruin another Seniors night in Fayetteville? It doesn't seem likely but there have been plenty of suprises in the SEC race this season.
