Stacy Lewis Prepares for NW Arkansas Championship

With 2 victories and 4 second place finishes in 2014, Stacy Lewis has been the definition of consistent heading into the Northwest Arkansas Championship.
"I feel like I've been playing so steady for the last year and a half, I wouldn't say  that there's been one turning point or another. It's just been consistently putting myself in a position to win," says Former Hog and current Rolex Rankings #1 women's golfer Stacy Lewis.

With 2 victories and 4 second place finishes in 2014, Stacy Lewis has been the definition of consistent heading into the Northwest Arkansas Championship.

"I come back here every year, and it seems like I keep climbing up the rankings every year, so coming back here is always special. It's great to get back and see a lot of family and friends." adds Lewis.

And even though it's a tournament she circles on her calendar, she's more and more busy every year she comes back.

"It definitely gets busier and busier every year, but it's a good problem to have."

No doubt she is the fan favorite going into this weekend. But that fan support also comes with some added pressure.

"For me it's almost harder for me to play here than to play at a major championship, you know, because it's great that everyone wants me to win, and everyone wants me to play well, but to try not to put that pressure on yourself is really hard." continues Lewis.

Stacy won the first NW Arkansas Championship back in 2007, and finishes last season tied for 4th. Fans coming out to support her would love to see her sit up top the leaderboard come Sunday afternoon.
