Sophomore Trey Killian will be withheld from the first six games of the 2014 baseball season due to a violation that occurred prior to his arrival at the University of Arkansas.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Below is a statement from the University of Arkansas Athletic Department on sophomore pitcher Trey Killian.
 
“Sophomore Trey Killian will be withheld from the first six games of the 2014 baseball season due to a violation that occurred prior to his arrival at the University of Arkansas. The violation occurred as a result of an impermissible interaction while he was a high school student-athlete. The University of Arkansas has worked proactively to provide pertinent information to allow the NCAA to resolve the matter prior to the beginning of the season. We support Trey and look forward to his return to the field for the Razorbacks.”
 
Arkansas opens its 2014 season Friday at home against Appalachian State. The Razorbacks and Mountaineers play a three-game weekend series with game times of 3:05 p.m. Friday, 12:05 p.m. Saturday and 1:05 p.m. Sunday
