Weather Suspends Start Of NCAA Championships For @RazorbackMGolf

Three different weather delays, including one that spanned nearly five hours, kept the Arkansas men’s golf team from starting play at the NCAA Championships on Friday at Prairie Dunes Country Club.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Three different weather delays, including one that spanned nearly five hours, kept the Arkansas men’s golf team from starting play at the NCAA Championships on Friday at Prairie Dunes Country Club.

Originally scheduled to begin the first round at 1:30 p.m. as part of the 15-team afternoon wave, the Razorbacks will start their first round on Saturday morning. Play will resume on Saturday at 7 a.m. with no official tee times available for the 15 teams that didn’t begin the first round.

Rain and thunderstorms hovered over the Hutchinson area all day, allowing just 15 teams to even start the first round. In all, play was suspended for eight hours and 10 minutes.

Arkansas’ lineup of senior Sebastian Cappelen, sophomore Taylor Moore, redshirt sophomore Kolton Crawford, sophomore Nicolas Echavarria and senior Blake Biddle will play alongside Houston and UAB the first two rounds. Live scoring of the event will be available through www.GolfStat.com or by visiting www.ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
