"Disappointment, hurt, frustration." says Bret Bielema
In so many words, this loss for the Razorbacks cut deep on Saturday. It was the worse case scenario in preparation and execution for the Hogs, which turned into their worst played game thus far, of 2013.
"The one thing that's you cannot similate or is very hard to similate when you're playing each other...is to similate adversity. And that's the one thing that we cannot withstand." says Bielema
The Hogs know all about facing hard knocks.
And despite the lack of success in conference play, they continue to stay motivated..especially with so much of the season left.
"Everybody was sad, but everybody's got that mindset now of...we just can't let this happen again." says Chris Smith
"No one never likes this feeling. It doesn't feel good. And to use this loss to never let it happen again." says Alex Collins
"As a football player, you want to win. As a competitor, it's hard to sit there and watch. It's also hard to be apart of it." says Kiero Small
"We rallied together as a team and said, we just can't dwell on this loss. We got to look to the future." says Jarrett Lake
"It's not fun. It's frustrating for sure. It's something that we've gotta keep coming back to practice and working on." says Brandon Allen
Bret Bielema is known for expressing his feelings, in very honest way. And he knows if things are to change, it has to take a collective effort to get over this mid-season hurdle.
"I feel for our guys, but on the same account, until we decide to make a stand, it's going to perminate and continue to be apart of what we're doing. And all of us has to start getting better, including me."
