FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) – KNWA and Fox 24 are teaming up with Arkansas Children's Hospital for “Give Kids a Miracle.”
The telethon will be held this Thursday and Friday, presented by Post Consumer Brands.
The proceeds raised during the telethon will benefit the people, places and programs for Arkansas Children's Northwest in Springdale.
The phone pledge line opens Thursday and can be called by dialing (479) 763-3165. However, donations can be made online now at https://giving.archildrens.org/telethon
For only $.67 cents a day, a difference can be made in the life of a child at Arkansas Children’s Northwest; that’s amounts to $20 month and it goes a long way. A pledge of $20 a month can help purchase items like:
Bravery bags: includes toiletries, snacks, a stuffed animal, coloring books and crayons
Band aid books: a place where kids can choose from an array of band aids when they’ve received a poke.
Chill & Spill journals for teens to use following treatment. The journals help them cope and express their thoughts and feelings through a creative outlet.
New Beginning kits: for children transitioning from the hospital to foster care. This bag would contain a backpack, change of clothes, a blanket and a stuffed animal.
