104-year-old Pearl Harbor Survivor Speaks at Fayetteville VA Hospital

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) – The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fayetteville celebrated the approaching Veterans Day with a very special guest Thursday morning. 

Jim Downing, a 104-year-old Pearl Harbor survivor and Korean War veteran, was the keynote speaker at the event. 
    
He's one of the more than 25 million veterans who've served America nation since 1775.
    
Local veterans at the ceremony said they just want to thank those who've dedicated their lives to serve. 

Commander Chuck Adkins said he hopes Thursday's message from Downing inspires the young cadets attending the event.
