AR Governor Requests $5M in Rental Aid for Flood Victims

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- - Governor Asa Hutchinson has requested money to be secured for Arkansas flood victims forced from their homes. 

Gov. Hutchinson sent the letter to the Arkansas Development Finance Authority to secure up to $5 million through the U.S. Housing and Urban Development-administered HOME Investment Partnerships Program. 

“A subset of this program provides Tenant-Based Rental Assistance to individuals who meet certain income guidelines,” the governor wrote. “I am requesting that the board of the Arkansas Development Finance Authority approve a resolution to authorize the disbursement of up to $5 million …”
