Body of Drowning Victim Recovered from Beaver Lake

UPDATE (9/2/14) - According to the Benton County Sheriff's Office, the name of the drowning victim is Sean Kelley, 21.

BENTON COUNTY, AR-- Multiple crews started searching for a young drowning victim on Beaver Lake at around 5:00 p.m. Monday night.

Dive teams recovered the victim's body shortly after 8:00 p.m.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office tells us the incident happened near Pleasure Heights Road and Fords Rock Landing at Martin Bluff.

We're told that a 21 year old male jumped from the cliff at about 5:00 Monday evening and had not resurfaced more than two hours later.

Benton County deputies, a dive team, and several local fire departments responded to the scene.

This was the first of two drowning calls emergency crews responded to on Labor Day.  A 17-year-old drowned near the Horseshoe Bend Park area.
