Companies, Businesses Focus on Stem Learning

KNWA - More than four million technology jobs are unfilled right now and experts expect that number to keeping growing. Now schools and businesses are focusing on providing STEM education.

The focus on science, technology, engineering and math is becoming more common. Companies and educators are hoping an early start can help offset the skills gap, and that more technology access for all students can help combat diversity issues in the tech industry.

Verizon, Google and Microsoft are all developing curriculum and products to help learning in the classroom. If you're looking for some fun technology education for your kids, check out Microsoft's Stem Saturdays. It's free hands-on technology workshops are every Saturday in Microsoft stores nationwide.
