Elkins School District Gets Approval for Three New Projects

ELKINS, Ark. -- - Elkins School District has gotten approval to begin construction on three different projects, which will eventually save the district money.

The projects, a new football stadium, weight room, and administration building, will all be built simultaneously.

The Superintendent of Elkins Schools, Dan Jordan, says he wants the project finished as soon as possible.

"They agreed to have us in next year, to open the year in August.  So they're projecting eight months, but Northwest Arkansas and weather, we'll see how that unfolds," Jordan said.

The district is renting the current administration building so the new project will save money in the long run.

The total cost of all projects will be about $4.5 million.
