"We do two each year really fun day you can bring the dog out, being the family out and just have a nice relaxing evening here at the ballpark," said NWA Naturals Manager, Justin Cole.
The second bark in the ballpark marked a return of the dog days of summer.
"We try to do it when hopefully it's a little cooler so the dogs can come out and you know they're not sitting in the 98° heat with the sun beating on them. So that's why we try to do it during an evening game," said Cole.
With perfect weather came the perfect pitch. Our own Dan Skoff opened up the game with the National Anthem.
And then Tevin Wooten tossed out the first pitch...Well maybe lobbed is a better word.
By the looks of it he wasn't the only one having fun today. Even the owners had fun too!
"The contests we have are owner dog look alike, best dressed, so people get in to it uh trying to win those prizes, so they'll dress their dogs up, have some fun that way," Cole said.
For some, a day in the ballpark can be routine, but the Naturals made it one of a kind.
"It's just one of those unique things where you can bring the family pet out sit in the seats enjoy a ball game, take a walk around the concourse uh it's just really unique and fun way to watch a ball game," Cole said.
