BENTONVILLE - More food-safety measures are being taken at an eatery in the Walmart Home Office cafeteria in Bentonville. In June, dozens of people became ill from exposure to shigella, a bacteria associated with severe diarrhea. The illness was traced back to the Mexican restaurant Salsaritas, operated by Eurest.

Now, the Arkansas Department of Health says Eurest has hired an on-site safety manager to oversee the employees handling food. Health officials say there were 46 confirmed cases of shigellosis, and 229 likely cases.
