FAYETTEVILLE--Barrett Baber is already an Arkansas celebrity. After winning the Grammy "Gig of a Lifetime" contest in 2013, and writing the the famous "Arkansas" song earlier this year, Baber returned to the Natural State to play a smaller stage-- the Fayetteville Public Library.

"It's always great to come back to town and play a cool little intimate show like this." Baber said
Baber has played around the country, but loves playing for the town that supported him from the beginning.
"Well I think Fayetteville in general is such a diverse city an incredible place to live , and that includes a lot of culture which includes music". Baber said "We've seen a lot of help from the community in the people that voted for us to help us win contest and get on a national stage." Baber continued

Baber wrapped up Fayetteville Public Library's summer concert series, and he believes that great music can come from anywhere. "You know a lot of people believe that you've got to be somewhere else to create great art, and that's just not true you can do it right here from right here in Fayetteville, and this is a great example and a chance for people to see that here at the Fayetteville Public Library." Baber said.
