BENTONVILLE, AR-- A Northwest Arkansas church teamed up with a local blood bank for donations.
According to the Blood Center of the Ozarks, every five minutes, someone in the area needs blood.
The Knights of Columbus at Saint Stephen Church in Bentonville, partnering with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks to help fill up their blood bank.
Organizers tell us they expect to collect thirty usable blood donations today.
Allen Crow, with Knights of Columbus said "Today we have a combination pancake breakfast plus the blood drive. It's part of our community program. As a knight, we try and help out the community overall as well as the catholic community that we serve."
Sunday's event not only brought in donations but served as a pancake breakfast as well.
