POTEAU, OK -- A precautionary boil order issued Friday has been lifted for folks who receive their water from Poteau Valley Improvement Authority.

According to the county's emergency management, the PVIA treatment plant released water without enough chlorine and issued a boil order. As of Saturday morning, PVIA Manager Don Goforth reported that residual disinfectant was now present in water throughout the distribution system.
