Bond Set at $250,000 for Accused Dickson Street Murderer

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) -- Bond has been set at $250,000 for the suspect accused of shooting and killing a man on Dickson Street in Fayetteville. 

The Fayetteville Police Department said Christopher Rankin, 25, of Sherwood was arrested on Monday on suspicion of first-degree murder. Rankin was booked into the Washington County Detention Center.

He appeared in Washington County Circuit Court on Wednesday where his bond was set. 

Police said Rankin got into a fight with another man when the shooting took place. This happened around 12:47 a.m. in a parking lot near the Arsaga's at the Depot coffee shop. 

The shooting victim died from his injuries at Washington Regional Medical Center.
