State parks are celebrating their heritage with Legacy Week.

Devil's Den State Park is taking part by teaching about conservation.

Visitors were invited to a rain barrel workshop Saturday at the park, where folks created the barrels out of recycled containers to collect rain water.

Instructors were on hand to help out and participants got to take the barrels home.

"Any time we get the chance to educate the public about what we're doing and what they can do, even the smallest little bit of thing, you know it all helps," Terry Elder, Park Interpreter said.

The park will be hosting workshops and classes all weekend to teach about what you can do to conserve resources.
