Fayetteville City Council Approves Additional ORT Funds

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Fayetteville City Council on December 2 approved additional funds to maintain Ozark Regional Transit services.

Back in November, Washington County Justices of the Peace started restructuring budgets across the county.  In a budget meeting, the city voted to cut $100,000 from the transportation service.

But tonight, the council voted to add more than $100,000 to the $300,000 budget already in place for the year.  This is part of a five year contract affecting Fayetteville service only.

Springdale will not be affected by this change.
