Fort Smith Church Celebrates 25 Years of Giving Away Groceries

FORT SMITH -- Handing out a quarter-century's worth of free food - Evangel Temple associate pastor Matthew Stevenson says the need is growing in the area and they are just trying to give a helping hand.

"We are finding that the need is growing and we are trying to keep up with that and just let people know that there is a place that loves them and cares for them and that wants to help them in their time of need," says Stevenson.

The event starts at the Temple's gym on Sunday at 8:30 in the morning. It is on a first come first serve basis and each family to show up will receive one sack of groceries.
