Fort Smith Police Searching for Stabbing Suspect on the Run

FORT SMITH -- Police are searching for a man wanted in connection to a stabbing investigation.   Detectives say the suspect, Colby Millsap, 37, has ties to Fort Smith and Van Buren.  The stabbing happened Tuesday night on Bluff Avenue around 8:00 p.m.  Fort Smith investigators say they found Joseph Queen, 26, with a stab wound in his lower abdomen.  Paramedics took Queen to the hospital where he went into surgery.  Officers found a fixed-blade hunting knife at the scene of the stabbing.  Witnesses told police Queen and Millsap were drinking together earlier in the night, and got into an argument.  According to the witnesses, the two men separated and went back to their neighboring homes.  A short time later, Millsap reportedly went over to Queen's house, challenging him to come outside.  The two fought and police say Queen was stabbed and Millsap ran.  According to the witnesses, Millsap recently moved back to the River Valley from North or South Dakota.  Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call Fort Smith police at (479) 709-5100 or 78-CRIME.
