#IdolEdge: Caleb Johnson is Crowned 'American Idol'

LOS ANGELES, CA -- After auditioning three times, making it past Hollywood week and claiming a spot in the Top 2, Caleb Johnson was crowned your new American Idol!

It has been a journey for the North Carolina native. He auditioned for Season 10, Season 11, and finally grabbed a golden ticket in Atlanta, Georgia for Season 13.

From being the lead singer in a band called Elijah Hooker, to sharing the stage with the legendary KISS, rocker Caleb brings crowds to their feet.

When Ryan Seacrest read his name on Wednesday night's finale, Caleb rallied around his fellow contestants and started singing his single "As Long As You Love Me."

With confetti flying all around, he said it was an unbelievable moment. Now it's time to hit the road on the American Idol Live! Tour and then start cranking out some tracks for his new record.
