"These are people who have suffered huge losses and you just try to encourage them and give them a hug and some hope. Tell them the people of the State of Kansas are behind you, we're praying for you, we're going to do everything we can to help and we're going to rebuild. Baxter Springs is going to rebuild and we're going to be there with you," said Governor Sam Brownback, Kansas.
Browback says Kansas has a state home building program. He says they've never used it in time of storms, but it could be a possibility for the City of Baxter Springs.
