Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Woman He Met on Dating Website

SPRINGDALE, AR -- A Fayetteville man was arrested by Springdale police Thursday, accused of sexually assaulting a woman he met on an online dating site. According to the police report, the woman said she met Alexander Nichols, 24, on After talking online and by text, she invited Nichols over for dinner.

Investigators say she told them while in the kitchen, Nichols groped her and she pushed him away twice. Afterwards, she said she made up a reason to get him to leave her home. When police interviewed Nichols, they said he admitted to groping her and said he wanted to tease her to see how far it would go.

He faces a charge of second degree sexual assault.
