Man Injured in Barbed Wire Trap Set on Fayetteville Bike Trail

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- A 22-year-old man was injured after colliding with a barbed wire trap set on a Fayetteville bike trail, police say. 

The Fayetteville Police Department said someone suspended a piece of barbed wire across the Frisco Trail near Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. 

The victim ran into the trap on Thursday night and was hospitalized as a result. 

Police are treating this as a criminal investigation.
