FAYETTEVILLE, AR (Washington Co.)--Two Northwest Arkansas forces are coming together to help those in need.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is manning posts at Harps Grocery Stores in West Fork, Fayetteville and Springdale. Deputies will be asking for food donations for the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army says drives like this are vital to keeping their doors open for people who need it most.

"Their donations are going to help people who need it," said Garret Krier of the organization. "These people are people who you know can't go out and buy food. They need it. And so basically what we're asking is for people to donate you know out of the goodness of your heart to help your community."

Deputies will also be taking donations at the same locations on Saturday from 8am to 2pm.
