ROGERS, AR-- Almost 300 people lined up Wednesday to have 8-inches or more of their hair cut off to be donated and used to make wigs to help those fighting cancer.

David Finley said his family has a friend fighting osteolymphoma and the cutting for a cure event seemed like a way he could make a difference. Finley's 7-year old daughter had already showed him how it's done.

"Mattie last year decided to donate and I got to be the one to cut her hair. So I promised her that I would grow mine out so she could cut mine this year," said hair donor David Finley.

The pair said it was very special to share the moment together and hope that others will do the same, knowing what an impact it could have on someone else's life.

Several LPGA players also donated hair, including Morgan Pressel and Natalie Gulbis.

Coach Brett Bielema and his wife, Jen, served as special guests helping to cut hair at the event.
