ROGERS, AR -- A Good Samaritan in Rogers warns a family about a fire outside their home, possibly saving their lives and house.

The Rogers Fire Department says a passerby went to the family's front door to tell them that a boat parked next to the home was on fire. That person then dialed 911. It happened on the 500 block of south 13th Street. Officials say they received the call at 9:14 Tuesday evening. The flames traveled up the side of the home, but did not cause any major damage. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
