Pres. George W. Bush in NWA Thursday

BENTONVILLE, AR -- Former President George W. Bush visited Northwest Arkansas Thursday. According to Walmart reps, he's in town to receive the Patriot Award from the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Foundation. It's the Society's highest award.

Pres. Bush is scheduled to receive the award during a gala  at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art Thursday evening. Gov. Mike Huckabee will emcee the event. Doug McMillon & Bill Simon, two of Walmart's CEOs will be in attendance as well.

Also among the gala's honorees are the 14 Medal of Honor recipients in Northwest Arkansas, who were also honored in a special ceremony at the Walmart Home Office in Bentonville Thursday morning. CLICK HERE to read more about that event and the veterans who attended.
