BENTONVILLE - The Bentonville School District is looking to buy even more land for its new high school in Centerton.

Monday, the school board approved the purchase of a little over half an acre of land owned by the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The board agreed to pay $25,000 for the spot. The district says church officials in Salt Lake City must now approve the deal.

According to district leaders, the land would be used to improve access to the new high school from Seba Road in Centerton.
