SPRINGDALE - The emergency response system in Springdale is getting a few upgrades.

This week, the city council agreed to use $310,000 to change the dispatch center from analog to digital. The funds will come out of the salary budget. The city says the switch will make it easier and safer for dispatchers and police officers to communicate.

Springdale also plans to raise dispatchers workstations, so that they can stand during their shifts.
