ROGERS - Next week, the Governor's Dislocated Worker Task Force will meet with Superior Industries International in Rogers, to discuss the best ways to help workers find new employment.

The Superior plant in Rogers announced July 30 it would shut down by the end of this year. The closing leaves 500 people looking for new jobs.

The Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce will also host a job fair October 8 at the John Q. Hammons Center.

The Governor's Dislocated Worker Task Force engages the resources of the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services, area Health Services, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC), the Workforce Investment Areas (WIA) and other agencies as appropriate to meet the needs of dislocated workers and employers.
