FAYETTEVILLE - A teen was arrested Wednesday, after Fayetteville police say he used Facebook to send life-threatening messages and pictures to someone.

According to police reports, Bryan Hoffman, 19, threatened to beat up his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend. Using Facebook, investigators say Hoffman sent a close-up picture of someone holding a rifle, along with a picture of the victim's car. Police also say they found Facebook messages from Hoffman stating he was on his way to the victim's house and was counting down the minutes until he got there.

The police report states when investigators went to Hoffman's apartment to talk to him, he tried to escape out the back window. Police say he also threw a plastic bag containing marijuana into the bushes.

He faces terroristic threatening, fleeing, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance charges.
