It's official: Michael Sam is now the first openly gay player drafted to the NFL. Sam shared a kiss with his boyfriend after finding out he'd been drafted by the St. Louis Rams. A picture of the kiss popped up across the Internet, getting mixed reactions from people on social media. But in response to naysayers, Sam says: "You know what? It's not about that. It's about playing football. Can Michael Sam play football? And yes I can."
Embattled L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling is breaking his silence. He sat down with CNN for his first interview since the racist rant scandal broke last month, telling CNN's Anderson Cooper he is not a racist and has "never been a racist."
Cooper asked Sterling why he waited so long to apologize.
"I'm just so emotionally distraight, and the reason it's hard for me, very hard for me is that I'm wrong," Sterling said. "I caused the problem. I don't know how to correct it.
While Sterling told Cooper that he was set up, his estranged wife also discussed the scandal in an interview with ABC's Barbara Walters. Shelly Sterling said she plans to hold on to her share of the L.A. Clippers.
