#5: Papal Travels
Pope Francis arrived in Seoul, South Korea today, marking the first papal visit to the country in 25 years.The historic visit is also a nod to Catholicism's shifting demographics as an increasing number of believers come from Latin America, Africa and Asia.During his packed, five-day visit to South Korea, the Pope will beatify 124 Korean martyrs.
He'll hold holy mass for peace and reconciliation, expected to be aimed at prayers for peace, including South and North Korean relations.

#4: Kevin Ward Funeral
Friends and family gathered at a high school in Upstate New York to say goodbye to sprint car racer, Kevin Ward.
The 20-year-old died Saturday night after he was hit on a small dirt track in New York by a race car driven by Nascar star, Tony Stewart.  Kevin's parents were given applause and a standing ovation as a show of support.

#3: Iraq Leadership Change
Iraq's Nuri Al-Maliki is stepping down during a period of intense violence and political turmoil. He said in a televised speech, he's resigning for the good of the country and is endorsing prime minister-designate Haider Al-Abadi.

#2: Ferguson Unrest
State troopers are taking over security in Ferguson, Missouri, after days of clashes between local police and protesters. Ferguson has been the scene of protests since a police officer shot and killed unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown.
Governor Jay Nixon says he decided to put the Missouri State Highway patrol in charge of security because of a lack of improvement in the unrest there.

#1: Williams Had Parkinson's Disease
The funny man had early stage Parkinson's disease and was suffering from depression and anxiety when he hanged himself earlier this week.  Williams' widow, Susan Schneider, released a statement Thursday, saying the actor wasn't yet ready to go public with his Parkinson's diagnosis at the time of his death. She emphasized that Williams was sober at the time of his death. Schneider hopes this additional information about Williams will encourage others "to seek care and support to treat whatever battles they are facing so they feel less afraid."
