The Pulse: Tracy Morgan's Condition is Looking Up

Number 5:
The pageant all future miss USA hopefuls have been waiting for, kicked off live in Louisiana Sunday.
This year's Miss USA pageant held in the capital city this year, with 51 women competing for the title.
And the winner, Miss Nevada's Nia Sanchez, taking the crown this year.
Arkansas' own Helen Wisner who won the Miss Arkansas 2014 title, also competed.

Number 4:
The co-owner of Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner California Chrome is still upset over the loss at Belmont, but he's also angry about the race rules overall.
The horse owner blasting other race horse owners because they didn't compete in the other two "crowning" races, which left their horses rested and ready to beat California Chrome.
But officials said, that's exactly what makes the Triple Crown title so elusive and valuable.

Number 3:
Secretary of State, John Kerry breaking his silence on the Bergdahl exchange, drawing criticism from both democrats and republicans.
Kerry defends the exchange of five Guantanamo detainees, expressing confidence they will be monitored closely and the conditions of their release will be honored.
Critics have alleged Bergdahl abandoned his unit.
Kerry says despite the circumstances of his capture, the US could not leave Bergdahl in the hands of the Taliban.

Number 2:
Comedian Tracy Morgan is showing signs of improvement, but is still in critical condition after his limo bus was rear-ended by a Walmart semi-truck Saturday morning on the New Jersey Turnpike.
Fellow comedian James "Jimmy Mack" McNair, also on the limo bus with Morgan, was killed in the crash.
Morgan suffered several injuries including broken ribs, a broken nose and a broken leg.
The driver of the truck has been charged with a number of crimes, including death by auto.
He turned himself into authorities Sunday.
Meanwhile Morgan is expected to remain hospitalized for several weeks.

Number 1:
Five people are dead in Las Vegas including two police officers and the two suspects.
Two police officers were gunned down Sunday while eating lunch at a local pizza place.
Officials say two gunmen attacked the officers, then proceeded to a nearby Walmart where they shot and killed a person near the entrance.
Authorities say the suspects then killed themselves.
The motive for the violence is unclear.
The investigation continues.
