Top Trenders: American Journalist Beheaded

#5: McDonald's Coffee
You will soon be able to get Mcdonald's coffee without going to the golden arches.  The fast food giant announced it's joining forces with Kraft to sell its McCafe brand in stores.  The coffee will be available in various flavors, including premium roast.  Single-serve pods for Keurig machines will also be sold.  The coffee is expected to be in grocery stores sometime next year.

#4: Phoenix Floods
Major rains continue to play havoc with parts of Arizona, which are still reeling from floods last week.  Here you see officials rescue an elderly woman from her vehicle Tuesday.  Some areas, including New River and Black Canyon City, were hit with about four-inches of rain within the last 24-hours.  The Phoenix fire department is giving away sand on a first-come, first-serve basis.

#3: Perry Indicted
The longest-serving Governor currently in office in the United States, Republican Governor Rick Perry of Texas, turned himself into authorities on Tuesday.  He was fingerprinted and had his mugshot taken.  Perry was indicted by a grand jury on a pair of felony charges for alleged abuse of power.  Perry calls the two charges a political ploy, and said quote "I'm going to fight this injustice with every fiber of my being."

#2: Journalist Beheaded
ISIS terrorists have beheaded an American journalist.  The killing of freelance journalist James Foley was captured on video and released on the internet Tuesday along with a message to the U.S. to end its intervention in Iraq.  Foley was kidnapped in 2012 while covering the war in Syria.
Before his death, Foley read a message apparently written by his captors, that the"Real Killer" is America.

#1: Police-Involved Shooting in Missouri
Another police-involved shooting in Missouri, just miles from where Michael Brown was killed over a week ago.  Saint Louis police shot and killed a young African American man.  They say the 23-year-old was acting erratically, allegedly brandishing a knife and pacing the street.  When he repeatedly refused to drop the knife, both officers fired, killing the suspect.  Police say the man had been involved in an incident at a convenience store earlier in the day.
