Glee star Naya Rivera has tied the knot. The 27-year-old actress married fellow actor Ryan Dorsey in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Saturday. People magazine reports that Rivera and Dorsey were longtime friends before becoming husband and wife. Many fans on social media were surprised by the wedding after Rivera's engagement with rapper Big Sean just ended back in april. "Glee" will return in January on Fox.

#4: Obama Administration Discusses National Guard Deployment
The Obama administration is assessing whether the National Guard should deploy to help with the border crisis. The White House says it's working closely with the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense on how to respond to the growing number of unaccompanied immigrant children. The DHS has yet to make a request for assistance. If they decide they need  support, the decision would be made by the Secretary of Defense.

#3: Plane Crash Ends Flight Trip Around the World
A plane crash ended the dreams of a father and son team attempting a trip around the world. 17-year-old Haris Suleman wanted to become the youngest pilot to fly around the world in 30 days in a singe-engine plane and his father rode along. The US coast guard says that after taking off from American Samoa, the Sulemans' plane crashed into the water. The teenager was unresponsive when he was recovered by Marine Patrol. The coast guard is still looking for his father.

#2: Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 Update
The victims' remains of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 arrived in the Netherlands on Wednesday. Of the 298 people who died when the plane was shot down over Ukraine, 193 were Dutch citizens. Dutch officials say the bodies will be taken to a military facility for forensic testing. The nation held a moment of silence to honor those killed in the crash. The jetliner was downed last week by a suspected surface-to-air missile over Eastern Ukraine.

#1: Arizona Inmate Execution
The execution of an Arizona inmate is the latest to raise questions about the drug cocktail used for lethal injections. Attorneys for convicted double murderer Joseph Wood filed an emergency stay of the execution after it began Wednesday. The motion said wood was gasping and snorting for more than an hour after he was sedated. A relative of wood's victims told reporters afterward it sounded more like he was snoring. Wood was pronounced dead about two hours after the execution started.
