It's finally official. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are married! A spokesman for the two stars said they tied the knot during a private ceremony in the South of France on Saturday that was attended by their six children, family members and friends. Angelina was walked down the aisle by her two oldest sons, while the four younger kids acted as flower girls and ring bearers. The couple got a marriage license in California before their big day.
#4: Miley Cyrus' Date
The homeless teenager who accepted Miley Cyrus' Award at Sunday's MTV video music awards has turned himself into police. Jesse Helt was wanted in Polk County, Oregon for not checking in with his probation officer. He was convicted on criminal trespass charges in 2011. A Polk County official says he turned himself in Thursday night and paid $2500 in bail to be released.
#3: Tony Stewart Returns
NASCAR driver Tony Stewart will return to the track this weekend, three weeks after hitting and killing a fellow driver. Stewart has been out since the August 9th crash that killed Kevin Ward JR. At a dirt track in New York State, the crash was ruled an on track incident and no charges were filed. This weekend NASCAR comes to Georgia with a Sunday race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The investigation into Ward's death is ongoing.
#2: Michael Brown Death Recording
An online streaming company has confirmed an alleged audio of the shooting of Michael Brown was indeed recorded near the time of his death. The streaming app company "Glide" authenticated it. The revelation bolsters a man's claim he inadvertently recorded audio of the shots fired at the 18-year old by an officer on August 9th. Experts say you can hear 10 shots.
The sounds could be a piece in the larger puzzle of what happened during the shooting.
#1: Obama Discusses Airstrikes
President Obama says U.S. airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq are working. He does not have a strategy yet to combat the group as it gains ground in neighboring Syria. Obama told reporters he's asked America's top defense officials to prepare a range of options against ISIS. Some of the options could include ordering airstrikes, providing further support to moderate factions in Syria to fight ISIS, and cutting off the sources of ISIS' funding.
