NUMBER 5 - GLOBETROTTERS "DRAFT" JOHNNY MANZIEL
The Harlem Globetrotters are jumping on the Johnny Manziel bandwagon. The team "drafted" Manziel during their 8th Annual Player Draft Tuesday. But don't look for Johnny Football to be touring the nation's arena's. This draft is ceremonial. In May, the Cleveland Browns nabbed Manziel in the first round of the NFL
draft. Then the San Diego Padres drafted him earlier this month.
NUMBER 4 - ROYALS VISIT "GAME OF THRONES" SET
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip took a royal visit to the realm of Westeros Tuesday. The royal couple are in Belfast, Northern Ireland where the show "Game of Thrones" is filmed. They got to tour the Red Keep and Throne Room sets. The monarch was spotted near the iconic Iron Throne, but decided not to sit on it. However, she was given a small model of the famous seat as a gift.
NUMBER 3 - iPHONES TO GET LARGER SCREENS
Apple's iPhone screens are reportedly about to get a lot bigger. Suppliers in China will reportedly begin mass production on two new iPhones next month. The phones will have display screens that are 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches across. That's a big leap from the 4-inch displays currently on the iPhone 5S and 5C. Bloomberg reports the new iPhones will ship to retailers around September.
NUMBER 2 - KFC SAYS INJURED GIRL NOT ASKED TO LEAVE
KFC's corporate office says that after two investigations, there is no evidence that proves a KFC employee asked Victoria Wilcher to leave a Mississippi restaurant because her injuries were too gruesome for customers. Wilcher's face was injured in a pit bull attack. An attorney for Wilcher's family says the girl's grandmother stands by her account of the incident.
NUMBER 1 - KERRY VISITS IRAQ
Secretary of State John Kerry met with Kurdish leaders during a trip to northern Iraq Tuesday. Kerry is trying to gather support for an inclusive government, as Iraq faces an advancing militant threat. U.S. officials warn militants in Iraq are becoming increasingly capable. An Iraqi energy official denied media reports that militants had taken control of an oil refinery, saying security forces were still fighting militants at the site.
